這個月的主題雖說是埃及神話，不過幾乎重點都是放在Isis女神身上了，
這也是因為本人對Isis女神十分的喜愛了w
現在也繼續述說Isis的另一個身份，即「穀物女神」。
以下節錄（以及我個人的補充說明）
《The golden bough》中神話學先驅Frazer爵士對於Isis女神身為「穀物女神」的記述:
女神Isis的原來屬性要比他哥哥和丈夫Osiris的本來屬性(即穀神)更難於確定。
對她的本質的定語和形容詞多極了，在象形文字裡，
人們稱她為「名字很多的」、「名字上千的」，希臘碑刻裡則說「名字上萬的」。

只可惜Isis最後無法成為女性的上帝而是只能成為耶穌之母聖母瑪莉亞。）
不過，在她複雜的本質中，也許還可能考查出原來的核心，
其他成份是在逐漸增加的過程中環繞這個核心而聚集圍繞起來。
如果她的哥哥和丈夫Osiris有穀神這一方面的性質，她必須也是一個穀物女神。
狄奧多拉斯・西庫勒斯似乎是根據埃及歷史學家曼涅托的說法，
如果我們相信他，女神Isis就是小麥和大麥的發現者，
在她的節日上，遊行的隊伍拿著兩種麥子的麥禾，以紀念她給人的恩惠。
(Virgo之由來即源於Isis女神)
奧古斯丁還補充了一個細節。
他說Isis是在祭奠她的共同祖先(都是君王)的時候發現大麥的。
她曾把新發現的大麥穗給Osiris及其大臣索斯看過，索斯即羅馬作家所稱的Mercury。
奧古斯丁還捕充說，人們說Isis就是Ceres(=Demeter)其道理就是在這裡。
而且在收獲時，埃及的收獲者割下第一把穀子，便放下穀子，
搥著胸，嚎哭著，呼喚Isis的名字。
這種風俗是對於死於鐮刀的穀神表示悲悼。
碑刻對Isis女神各種的形容語言中有這樣的稱呼：
「綠色物的女創造者(Creatress of green things)」、
「綠色的女神(Green goddess)，她的綠色同大地綠色相像」、
「麵包娘娘(Lady of bread)」、「啤酒娘娘(Lady of beer)」、
「豐收娘娘(Lady of the green harvest)」。
按照Brusch的說法，她「不僅是覆蓋大地的翠綠植物的創造者，
而且實際上就是綠色穀地本身，穀地化身的女神。」
這種說法為她的一個稱號「Sochit」或是「Sochet」所肯定，意即「穀地」，
這個字在科普特(Coptic)中至今還保留了這個意義。
希臘人把Isis看成女穀神，因為他們說她是Demeter。
在一首希臘的短詩裡，她被描寫成「給大地長出果實的女神」，「稻穀的母親」，
在紀念她的一首讚詩裡，她說她自己是「麥田的皇后」，
並被描寫為「關心豐收的麥壟小路」。
因此，希臘或羅馬的藝術家表現的形象時常讓她的頭上頂著穀穗或手中拿著穀穗。
可以說，這就是古代的Isis，一個農村的五穀媽媽(Corn-Mother)，
受到埃及的原始儀式的崇敬(Frazer沒有提及Isis原始埃及名字叫作Aset=王權)。
Isis與Sirius 以及Stella Maris
在埃及天狼星(Sirius)為代表Aset(Isis)之星。
Aset(Isis)為帶來豐饒的女神，同樣天狼星每年與太陽一同升起時，
即預報了尼羅河的氾濫的開始，而尼羅河的氾濫也會帶來豐沃的土壤，
因此天狼星為代表Aset(Isis)身為偉大供給者之星。
由於在Isis女神信仰傳至希臘後，希臘航海者賦予女神Isis執掌大海的海神身份，
這可能源於Isis女神的輝燦之星－天狼星，在七月的早上從東部地中海的朦朧波濤升起來,
給水手送來一個平靜的天氣徵兆，因此Isis女神才會被認為是水手的守護神。
又由於後來聖母瑪莉亞將Isis女神的神聖母親形象吸收過來，
也因此獲得「Stella Maris」(海洋之星)這一美麗的稱號，
並受到暴風雨中顛簸的水手之敬奉。
這便是源於真正的「Stella Maris」即Isis之星=天狼星之崇奉。
